SURF. CLIMB. EXPLORE.

We are driving to the southern most tip of South America from Canada in our custom built Mitsubishi Delica that we call Peso.   Wandering Peso was born out of our dream to adventure into raw, honest and wild places around the world.

We have been wandering and exploring this route since June 2018 and we’d love for you to follow along.

Guadalajara, Eat your heart out!

Guadalajara, Eat your heart out!

A beautiful city, easily navigable by foot and by Uber, it is situated in the heart of the land of Agave.  Guadalajara is located in the western state of Jalisco and is the second largest city in Mexico. While it is the second largest city, it doesn’t feel that way once you are walking around. […]

Window Security

Window Security

What we did: Tinted all the windows with a 20% ceramic tint. The windshield is 70% and greatly reduces the amount of heat we feel while driving. Definitely worth doing! We wanted to sleep inside the van for safety, stealth mode and for convenience.  We definitely toiled over what the best design should look like and had many frustrating moments and it took a lot of time trying to figure it out.  The final design may not be perfect, but it is the best for […]

Iztaccíhuatl – Pushing Your Limits

Mountain Persuasion... You know it could possibly be an addiction when it hurts so bad it feels good. View from Iztaccíhuatl, Mexico You know it could possibly be an addiction when it hurts so bad it feels good.  That pretty much sums up how I felt at the end of this thirteen and half hour […]

Pyrometer

Pyrometer

What we did: Welded a bung (just past the turbo) on the turbine outlet for the thermocouple of the pyrometer Pyrometer by Hewitt Gauges (We are not thrilled with the cosmetic look of the pyrometer, but functions as it should. Hewitt is working with us to match it to the Turbo Boost gauge.) Installed the temperature […]
