MODIFICATIONS

Peso was pretty awesome already when we picked her up from the port in Long Beach, but considering we are living out of her for a couple of years we made some upgrades.  Making an overland vehicle self-reliant means we will able to live from the van for extended periods of time in remote areas. As such, we need a few things: fresh potable water, hot water, sleeping space, cooking and refrigeration, security, solar power and recovery systems.

Below are the upgrades we have done.  Click on the links for more details of the modification and how we did it.

Classic Surfboard Style Wood Ceiling

Classic Surfboard Style Wood Ceiling

The ceiling is classic and simple, but artfully crafted.  Crafted from Walnut, Sapele and Redwood it is reminiscent of an classic wood surfboard.  We definitely could have chosen a different style or material, but we both knew that we wanted to have something beautiful to look at when we woke up and went to sleep.
