Los Campos, #4a Calle de la Alameda, Plaza Baratillo, Centro Historico, Guanajuato
In the heart of Guanajuato, Los Campos is tucked at the base of a historic building in the plaza near Fuente Los Baratillos. We stayed in Guanajuato for a couple of weeks and this place is by far the best restaurant we tried. The flavors are amazing, rich and complex. We went back a couple of times and each time the experience was better than expected.
With only six to eight tables it’s important to make a reservation ahead of time. The food is prepared of high quality local ingredients and is a fusion of Mexican and Mediterranean styles. The service is friendly, attentive and professional.

Bar at Los Campos in Guanajuato
Fusion of Mexican & Mediterranean Cuisine
Best eatery in the city of Guanajuato!
We enjoyed every dish we tried on multiple occasions. Each one is unique and bursting with flavor and texture. We tried a few other highly rated restaurants in the city, but none came close to the whole experience we had at Los Campos. A dinner for two with an appetizer, two courses, cocktails and a tip will run you about $500-600 pesos. It’s worth a visit and in our opinion is one of the best eateries in Guanajuato City.
We recommend the following:
- Tequila Cheese Fondue
- Mushroom, Huitlacoche and Olive Lasagna
- Pork Chop “Al Pastor”
- Stuffed Ancho Chile
